EASY HOMEMADE “SHAVE BUTTER”

I have an idea for a Father’s Day gift that you can get last-minute! A year and a quarter ago, I was listening in to a commercial that talked about a shaving club that delivered razors right to your doorstep. This is not a post on razors! They also talked about their incredible shave butter, which was superior to any other shaving cream. They stated that they would never use regular shaving cream again. Because it sounded so good, I decided to explore shave butter.

It is very easy to make your own shave butter, according to my research. This shaving cream is made with all-natural ingredients, and it’s so much better than traditional shaving cream. The ingredients were already in my home from other homemade products that I have made in the past.

It was a Christmas gift I made for my husband. It has been one his most favorite gifts, and he keeps asking me to make more.

It was a great gift for him and I decided to make it for myself. It has helped me reduce razor burns and I love it just as much as him! After shaving, my skin feels so smooth!

After reading that lengthy intro, you may be wondering what waiola shave ice butter is and why it is so special. It is so easy that you will be amazed at how simple it is. You only need four ingredients.

HOMEMADE SHAVE BUTTER

  • 1/3 c. Shea Butter
  • Coconut Oil: 1/3 c
  • 1/4 c. Olive oil (or almond oil)
  • Essential Oils (10-15 drops)

My husband likes a combination of peppermint and cedar wood essential oils. It’s currently on sale! Essential oils of rosemary and cedarwood. Grapefruit and orange oils are used in my shave cream, as well as this amazing baby playpen Skin Blend from Rocky Mountain Oils. It has a wonderful scent and feels great!

In a saucepan, melt the Coconut oil. Heat the coconut oil and Shea butter on low heat. Add in the Almond oil, essential oils and stir. Allow to cool for several hours and then refrigerate or place in the refrigerator to harden. If time is not an issue, you can let it cool down and then let it set up on its own. Let it cool down once it has cooled. If you have refrigerated it, you can whip it with an charge an electric car beater for a few minutes to get that lotiony texture. You can stir it if it has hardened on the counter.

It was placed in small jelly jars in the shower. My supply usually runs out so I help my husband finish it until I have more.
